Kiosk Mode

Channels supports a convenient Kiosk Mode to let you hide Settings from being used.

When Kiosk Mode is enabled, the Settings option is removed from the main navigation and replaced with the About screen. This allows you to protect the app from anyone using it.

Turn It On

The Kiosk Mode setting is only available via Server Side Settings. Visit your Channels DVR Server web admin, add the server side setting, and enable it. You can do this for all your devices or for specific ones.

Temporarily Turn It Off

There may be times where you need to access Settings while in Kiosk Mode.

Temporarily turn off Kiosk Mode following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the About section
  2. Tap or select the Channels logo 5 times
  3. The About section will turn into the Settings section

Kiosk Mode will be disabled until you leave the app
