2020 Year in Review
2020 was a weird year. We tried our best to make it nicer while we were all stuck at home. With new features and easier ways to set up a whole home DVR, we hope we helped just a little.
Thank you for all of your support and feedback. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Here’s a few highlights of how the Channels platform has grown over the last year.
Channels 4.0
With new sidebar navigation, advanced playback options, a full library mode for browsing large libraries, and a ton of new options, Channels 4.0 was a huge release this year.

Apple Silicon Support
Within 2 weeks of Apple releasing their first M1 based Macs, Channels DVR Server was officially running natively on Apple’s new architecture.
Not only that, you can also install the iPad version on these new Apple Silicon Macs to run Channels right on your computer.

Watch Channels in your Tesla
After Tesla added some great new entertainment enhancements, we wanted to make sure your live TV and recordings got in on the action.
If you’re a Tesla owner, now you can watch right in your car while charging it up.

Never Lose a Recording With Trash
Early in 2020 we added Trash to Channels DVR Server. Instead of instantly deleting, recordings are now held in the Trash for a certain number of days before being deleted.
Now you never have to worry about losing accidental or automatically deleted recordings.
